PROJECT OBJECTIVES

 

 

The project implies the integration and correlation of 3 main elements:

  • The existence of relevant strategies and risks mitigation methods from other researches (FP7 projects, such as:     NANOHAUSE, NANOSAFE, NANEX, NANOIMPACNET,  EU-OSHA projects, and so on)
  • Innovative strategies, methods and research instruments obtained as the result of the SCAFFOLD project, in order to fill the existing gaps
  • SSO management models (OHSAS 18001+ ISO 31000).

The integration of the three elements within the SCAFFOLD project will be finalized in a new coherent and profitable RMM (Risk Management Model) in particular for SMEs. The research realized in the SCAFFOLD project will be particularly relevant to the construction field.

The Romanian partner role within the project:

 

Within the project ICECON S.A. will perform the following tasks:

  • in WP1 will perform the LCA assessments, the defining and identifying needs and gaps in the sector;
  • in WP5 will cooperate in defining the RMM (Risk Management Model) and in the tools set;
  • in WP 6, ICECON S.A. is the T6.2 leader and will realize an industrial case of using. ICECON S.A. will use its manufacturing facility, as an industrial case of study in order to implement the methodology.

A demonstration of fire-resistant panels post-processing by drilling and cutting was also performed

Manufacture of fire-resistant panels (2300x1000x15mm). Manufacture of panels requires: lubrication of framework, casting of panels (applying the 1st layer of composition  and leveling, applying the reinforcement layer of fiberglass mesh, applying the 2st layer of composition and finishing), drying/ hardening of panels, de-molding of panels.
