PROJECT OBJECTIVES

 

The project proposes a new class of materials for extremely reliable multifunctional bindings able to assure a strong and efficient bond, from the energetic point of view, which can be used in assembly/ desassembly processes of components, under the action of a specific trigger. This will allow in the manufacturing process a new approach regarding the immediate re-use and the recycling of components, before the shredding and crushing processes. The innovative technology of obtaining of such types of materials is based on the design of functional assemblies which incorporate nanoparticles electro-magnetic active, in the polymeric matrix of specialized adhesives. By adding the nanostructures to the traditional adhesives composition the binding’s mechanical and thermal proprieties are improved, resulting in a more durable and rapid assembly of the components.  The use of these types of adhesives with different nanoparticles concentrations may significantly increase the structure functional performances by the activation in a magnetic field at different values of frequency. Furthermore, the incorporated particles will assure an immediate disassembly under the action of a magnetic field generated by a specific device. The project takes into account the technology development, as well as the transfer of a such process from laboratory experiment to industrial level.

  • Final user for demonstrations in the construction field.
  • Study regarding the feasibility of the new nanostructured adhesives, identification of implied costs, benefits, fields of application, the promoting of the new concept in the construction industry.

  • Identification of potential applications in the construction industry with partners from Romania and abroad.
