PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • The key objective of the project is to develop the technology for the manufacture of composite materials based on a mix of feathers, possibly with the addition of wood powder; the production of construction products – test specimens in order to verify the thermoplastic technology (extrusion, injection, pressing); preliminary determination of mechanical, thermal and acoustic properties of specimens; the development of pilot-processing technology of bio-composite semi-finished materials (extrusion); product development – building panels and profiles based on bio-composites; effective production of prototyping, benchmarking, socio-techno-economic studies and technology transfer.
  • The overall objective of the project is to support the productive development of SMEs that use the endogenous potential of the regions (raw materials, human resources) and to create new jobs and sustainable economic growth.

PROJECT’S INTENDED RESULTS

  • A testing stand for the analysis of electro-magnetic screening capacity of the composite materials insulation panels using feather and recycled wood and plastic powder;
  • Training of unemployed persons in the field of the new technologies;
  •  Manufacturing of bio-plastic composite products panels and boards to be used in the construction industry.
